About The Position

At Jered LLC, a PAR Systems Company and leader in engineered solutions for naval and maritime systems, Tool Attendant are the backbone of our manufacturing and maintenance success. We’re seeking a driven professional who can manage tools, consumables, and vendor coordination with precision, ensuring that production and maintenance teams always have what they need, when they need it. In this role, you’ll oversee tool crib operations, track usage and reorders, manage vendor repairs, and maintain critical inventory records that support mission-critical naval and industrial projects. Whether resolving urgent supply needs or improving inventory accuracy, your attention to detail directly supports operational uptime and reliability. At Jered, your organization keeps the operation moving and our customers’ missions on track. As a Tool Attendant you’ll spend most of your time managing, organizing, and tracking tools and high-spend consumables while partnering closely with maintenance, production, and procurement teams. The most successful team members bring sharp organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to accuracy and safety. They don’t just maintain inventory, they streamline it, anticipate needs, and ensure the right resources are always ready for use. You’ll work in a dynamic manufacturing environment where efficiency, accountability, and collaboration are key. Challenges include balancing vendor performance with cost control, maintaining tooling availability during high production periods, and ensuring documentation accuracy. Success means seamless tool management, minimal downtime, and strong internal customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for managing tooling assets, consumable inventories, and vendor coordination to support Jered’s production and maintenance operations. You’ll maintain records, evaluate sourcing options, support preventive maintenance tracking, and serve as a key liaison between departments, keeping operations organized, cost-efficient, and mission-ready.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, tooling, supply chain, or maintenance support
  • Familiarity with hand tools, powered tools, and consumables used in industrial environments
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic proficiency in Excel, inventory tracking systems, or ERP software
  • Able to lift 40+ lbs and move throughout shop floor environments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • US Persons

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a tool crib, maintenance storeroom, or production support role
  • Knowledge of multi-vendor sourcing and pricing comparisons
  • Experience supporting maintenance or production teams in a manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance tracking systems
