About The Position

Responsible for inspecting, issue, training personnel, and performing tool room on customer provided tools, IMRL, ground support equipment, contract units, sub-systems, and support equipment. Essential Responsibilities include but not limited to: Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an industrial establishment. The Tools and Parts Attendant does the following keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers, searches for lost or misplaced tools, prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed, unpacks and stores new equipment; visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors; coats tools with grease or other preservative, using a brush or spray gun, and attaches identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment using electric marking tool.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent is desirable.
  • Five (5) years actual and recent, systems experience desired.
  • Must have a knowledge of general hand tools.
  • Knowledge of ground support equipment desired.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Government security clearance.
  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 US Government Clearance.
  • Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Tier 3 Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Coats tools with grease or other preservative, using a brush or spray gun, and attaches identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment using electric marking tool.
  • Enforce company policy and procedures as they apply to ensuring a safe and high-level customer service work environment always exists, reporting to the Program Supervisor as required.
  • Report incidents and make recommendations to the Program Supervisor.
  • Support Customer and Contract for all related tasks associated with this position.
  • This position description is not intended to be all-inclusive and employee will also perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Must be able to work well with others and independently, predicated on the scope and complexity of operations.
  • Tools are the responsibility of the employee.
