About The Position

Tool and Die Millwright The Tool and Die Millwright will operate machine tools and use tool and dies to build fixtures and repair machines. Competitive wages based on experience. Additional Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS , this position is eligible for other incentives.

Requirements

• Ability to operate various types of manual machine tools to perform machining.
• Ability to read blueprints and plans.
• Ability to safely and accurately operate all measuring and production equipment.
• Working understanding of geometry, trigonometry, and algebra.
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Tool and die machinist certification preferred.
• Welding skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates manual lathes, mills, drills and fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes.
• Understands and works with precision tolerances where required.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.
• Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used on machines.
• Examines and measures completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors.
• Inspects machinery for any needed repairs; performs repairs within expertise.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of work area.
• Complies with applicable safety standards and regulations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
