About The Position

The Tool and Die Maker is responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and repairing precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges used in manufacturing processes. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with close tolerances to ensure high-quality production.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; completion of a Tool and Die apprenticeship or technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years ofexperience as a Tool and Die Maker or similar precision machining role.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling materials, and heat treatment
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Mastercam or other CAD/CAM software.

• Welding skillsa plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, assemble, and repair tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures according to specifications and blueprints.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation.
• Set up andoperatemanual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, grinders,EDMetc.
• Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Maintainaccuraterecords of tool builds, repairs, and modifications.
• Follow all company safety policies andmaintaina clean and organized work environment.
