About The Position

Design and make tools primarily for short run /prototype work. Set up and trouble shoot, kick presses, 4-slide and punch press tooling. Precision grinding is required. Must be a self-starter, willing to work with minimum supervision. Attention to detail required, along with ability to shoot trouble. This 6,500 square-foot forming facility houses a complete tool and die shop, along with a stamping press and numerous machines to form etched blanks supplied by the Chicago location. Requirements

Proven experience as a Tool & Die Maker, heavily focused on milling and grinding.
Proficiency with both milling and grinding equipment.
Excellent understanding of machining principles and materials
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
