About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating manual machine tools to produce precision parts and components, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to specifications. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in die making
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and specifications
- Experience using hand and power tools to shape, cut, and finish dies
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
Nice To Haves
- Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in operating manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and work orders
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in machining tasks
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in machine operation
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues
- technical training or certification in machining is preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools to produce metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications
- Set up and calibrate machines, ensuring proper tooling and safety procedures are followed
- Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to ensure accuracy
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on manual machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards and protocols
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve machining issues and improve processes
