Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic machine shop skills or CNC experience
- Previous experience with toolroom machinery (listed above)
- Understanding of modern punch press principles
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with co-workers, lead personnel, and supervisors.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with whole numbers and decimals; understand geometric functions and perform basic calculations; and perform trigonometry calculations as needed.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to understand and comprehend all tool and fixture language (high school level
- Strong communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting
- Successful completion of the following: Blueprint Reading (606-111), Applied Math I & II (804-370; 804-371), and Precision Measuring (623-185) classes.
