About The Position

The candidate will serve as our sole team member sitting on base at NAWDC Fallon. The majority of the team is involved in the development of system requirements, design, software development and testing. This position is unique for this team because it is less focused on the engineering of the system and more about interfacing with, training, soliciting feedback from members of the strike community, and developing tactics documents. CORE FUNCTIONS / JOB DUITES Ability to perform the following independently, under minimum supervision: Travel to, participate, collaborate, and present/brief at various meetings, such as Operational Advisory Group, working groups, planning meetings, exercises, etc. Gather and document program and system requirements. Analyze and review existing systems to identify improvements or areas for optimization. Design, test, and implement new or enhanced systems. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, escalating complex problems as needed. Conduct user acceptance testing and ensure documentation meets organizational standards. Provide input for user manuals and providing system training to end-users. Collaborate with IT, developers, test teams, and stakeholders to ensure system effectiveness and project delivery. Maintain records, generate reports, and provide ongoing user and system support.

Requirements

  • Possess a deep understanding of: Tomahawk Weapons Systems (Ideally experience on a Strike Team)
  • Comfortable briefing high level military/government officials
  • Logistics Products
  • System design and architecture
  • Programming languages
  • Database management
  • Business process modeling
  • Project management tools and methodologies (i.e., Agile or Scrum)
  • System integration and data migration
  • Security and compliance
  • BS STEM Degree
  • U.S. Citizenship is Required
  • Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required.
