About The Position

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Title Manager to lead our title department and ensure the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of all title-related processes. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional with a strong understanding of land title, mineral rights, curative work, and regulatory requirements in the oil and gas sector. Key Responsibilities - Manage and oversee the daily operations of the title department. - Review, analyze, and certify ownership of surface, mineral, and leasehold interests. - Supervise title agents, abstractors, and land support teams, ensuring productivity and accuracy. - Provide guidance on complex title issues, defects, curative actions, and chain‑of-title analysis. - Coordinate with landmen, attorneys, surveyors, and internal stakeholders to resolve title discrepancies. - Ensure all title documentation complies with state regulations, company standards, and project timelines. - Prepare title packages, and supporting documentation as needed. - Maintain accurate tracking systems for title status, curative progress, and reporting metrics. - Train and develop team members, fostering high-quality work and continuous improvement. - Support acquisition and divestiture projects by conducting due diligence and verifying ownership data. Qualifications - 5+ years of oil and gas title experience required; management or supervisory experience strongly preferred. - Thorough understanding of title abstracting, mineral ownership, curative actions, and land documentation. - Strong knowledge of industry terminology, regulatory requirements, and state-specific title standards. - Experience reading and interpreting deeds, leases, plats, probate documents, and legal descriptions. - Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients. - Proficiency in title management software, land systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Land Administration, Business, or related field. - CPL, RPL, or similar industry certification. - Experience with acquisition and divestiture due diligence workflows.
