About The Position
Job Summary We’re seeking a detail-oriented Title Clerk the Title Clerk is responsible for managing all paperwork related to vehicle ownership transfers. This includes processing titles, registrations, and license plates for a busy automotive dealership. The role ensures compliance with state laws and requires meticulous attention to detail when preparing, submitting, and tracking documents for both new and used car sales. Requirements
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous automotive or accounting experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities
- Process titles, registrations, and tax documents for all vehicles.
- Submit legal transfer work to DMV and ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Verify payoff amounts, lienholder payments, and accuracy of applications.
- Prepare payoff checks, dealer trades, and Certificates of Origin.
- Maintain title records and report outstanding issues to management.
- Post vehicle sales/purchases and process warranties/contracts.
- Stay current on title regulations and train team members as needed.
