About The Position

Come join our GTE Financial team! We are looking for a detailed oriented, enthusiastic individual to join as Title Agent. The Title Agent is responsible to grow with our team as a support assistant with progressive customer service and administrative duties relating to escrow closings . Candidate will work with team of experienced real estate professionals and will be responsible for preparing transaction files for closing. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, preparation of Closing Disclosure Statements/HUD settlement statements, closing documents, title affidavits and conduct closings. Ideal Candidates must have prior Florida experience as a Title Closer/Escrow Officer. What does GTE look for in a Title Agent? Title: Develop strong, trusting relationships between realtors, mortgage brokers, clients, agency partners, and vendors while providing leadership and support during strategy and execution. Heavily involved in the title closing process, including handling the actual closings, for committed partnerships to ensure desired service levels are maintained. Receive and review initial contract. Review of title order and request of any supplemental information necessary to comply with TRID Guidelines. Management of closing process from client contact to post closing final documents. Delivery of all closing packages, final policy and recorded documents in a timely manner. Maintain open and consistent dialogue with internal team on referrals, goals, and evolving services. Ability to create status reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals is required. Communicates with clients, title companies, vendors, and other financial institutions by phone, mail, e-mail, fax, or in person. High level of understanding our products and offerings along with how to market them broadly. Must have a working knowledge of the residential and commercial real estate closing process. Member Experience: Displays keen ability for both mass communications and interpersonal discussions. Great verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with co-workers, business partners, clients, managerial and executive staff, members, the board, vendors, and government regulators. Participates and contributes to a positive teamwork environment which encourages team commitment to corporate, division, and departmental goals. Operational: Ensures the confidentiality of all information and transactions regarding HLA Title, the Credit Union, its members, and its employees are held to the highest level of business ethics. Assist other CUSO personnel when necessary. Perform additional functions at the direction of Agency Management. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer experience required. Organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously while being detailed oriented. Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ business development experience or combination of education and experience required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer experience required.
  • Required for Remote/Hybrid Work: A quiet workplace so you can focus on delivering excellent service to your members.
  • Required to have power and high-speed internet over 100MB (minimum).
  • Video capability (connection of 1.5 Mbps up and down recommended).
  • Candidates must provide and meet all technical requirements prior to the first day of training.
  • Hybrid candidates must live within driving distance of the office location and be able to regularly commute to and from the office location as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college preferred.
  • Preferred licensed for Florida Title Agent (4-10).
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
