About The Position

Responsible for overall tire maintenance for semi-tractor/trailer equipment

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to understand and comply with tire repair and replacement standards
• Ability to safely and efficiently work with related tools and lifts
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. at a time
• Manual dexterity to operate tools and lifts
• The ability to handle extreme temperatures, loud and continuous noise exposure, dirt, oil and other chemicals
• Safety shoes (steel toe or composite) required
• Forklift Certification

Responsibilities

• Removes and installs tires, which includes all aspects of repairing, replacing damaged/worn tires on tractors or trailers
• Maintains and stores tire inventories
• Disposes of damaged/old tire casings
• Maintains and operates all tire equipment
• Receives and carries out instructions
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned.
