About The Position

Provides customer service and technical support for our business subscribers. Troubleshoots software and hardware problems related to Internet applications. Researches complex Internet problems and issues to determine solutions. Updates customer account information as appropriate.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of specialized training.
  • General customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems, including Windows, Linux and MAC-OS.
  • Knowledge of Web technologies, technical languages, browsers, search procedures, search engines, platforms and applications.
  • Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.
  • Diagnosis skills of technical issues.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately.
  • Service awareness of all organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided.
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
  • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support to Internet & Business customers by troubleshooting software and hardware problems and explaining features and service changes.
  • Hardware troubleshooting.
  • PC Setup.
  • PC Moves.
  • Working with customers to resolve issues they may be experiencing.
  • Email troubleshooting.
  • Assist and service customer networks include but not limited to:
  • Consumer router configuration
  • Device connectivity
  • Email services
  • May perform special internet-related projects as requested.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by management.
