About The Position

As a Tier 1 and Tier 2 Site Support Technical Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in resolving complex technical issues and ensuring the seamless operation of SAP systems. Your primary responsibility will be to provide advanced support for SAP modules, including ECC, EWM, TM, and WMS, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve system challenges. You will analyze system performance, identify root causes of technical issues, and implement effective solutions to maintain operational efficiency. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of SAP architecture to address escalated issues that Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams are unable to resolve. To excel in this position, you will benefit from hands-on experience with SAP tools and processes, particularly in areas such as Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Transportation Management (TM), and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Familiarity with SAP ECC is essential, as it forms the backbone of many enterprise operations. Additionally, a strong grasp of system integration and configuration will be critical for success. Exposure to troubleshooting methodologies, performance optimization techniques, and system monitoring tools will further enhance your ability to deliver high-quality support in this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field preferred.
  • At least one year of relevant experience.
  • At least five years of SAP experience
  • Active Security clearance
  • IT-II
  • A developed comprehensive understanding of SAP modules and their interdependencies
  • A proven track record of resolving complex technical issues and implementing system improvements
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Applies standard methodology, techniques, procedures and criteria.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve intermediate level system hardware, software or networking related problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and to translate technical terminology into terms understandable to non-technical employees.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze system performance, identify root causes of system issues, and implement effective solutions to maintain operational efficiency
  • Implements medium to high risk changes on production systems.
  • Participates in the planning and designing of new platforms and integrating new technologies into existing infrastructure.
  • Resolves Level 2 incidents affecting the operation/availability of production systems, through troubleshooting and implementing known fixes.
  • Deploys standard repeatable build outs of medium complexity.
  • Installs, configures, patches and maintains appropriate technologies (e.g. servers/databases/network/ storage/software solutions).
  • Supports intermediate backup strategies and disaster recovery tests. Serves a resource to level 1 technicians on routine backup strategies and disaster recovery tests.
  • Analyzes system performance indicators and recommends improvement actions.
  • Assists with monitoring vendors' release notes and implements necessary upgrades and patches as required.
  • Installs and maintains third-party tools.
  • Makes proactive suggestions for service improvements.
  • May train less experienced staff in the supported products and best practice for production support.
