The Northwestern University project involves a multi-year partnership to integrate data and analytics, marketing, premium seating, and general ticket sales for the New Ryan Field project, as well as managing data intelligence, marketing, and ticket sales for Northwestern Athletics Football at Martin Stadium and Men’s and Women’s Basketball programs. The Ticket Sales Rep role is primarily responsible for driving revenue and hitting sales goals around season, group, and premium ticket packages for Northwestern Athletics, working under the direction and guidance of the Manager, Ticket Sales.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn and master software programs including Salesforce CRM and Ticketing platform.
  • Ability to handle heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emails.
  • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as a competitive desire to be the best.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communication with C-level clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in professional sports.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Offer a full menu of seating opportunities for Northwestern Football, Men’s Basketball, and all other ticketed sports.
  • Coordinate and execute sales calls on all potential customers through prospecting, cold calling, and referrals from current customers.
  • Effectively use Salesforce CRM to accurately record all client and prospect interactions.
  • Participate and contribute in weekly sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Work in conjunction with Northwestern Athletic Department and Ticketing staff to promote and generate sales on all events while providing a great fan experience.
  • Assist with any administrative ticket functions.
  • Assist with any special projects or duties as assigned by Manager, Ticket Sales.
  • Set and conduct in arena and out of the office appointments.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for general athletic ticket inquiries that come in through inbound phone calls, email, and social media.
  • Set and conduct in stadium, arena and out of the office sales appointments.
  • Effectively use Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions.
  • Reach and exceed individual and team sales revenue goals.
  • Assist with managing and stewarding existing season ticket members.
  • Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as follow up on leads provided by partner organization.
  • Be accountable for certain levels of activity (calls made/appointments set) and goals.
