About The Position

Workday's Thought Leadership team is seeking a passionate and experienced Editorial Strategist focused on HR and the future of work. This role plays a key part in developing and executing our content strategy across our thought leadership pillars, ensuring we deliver interesting, high-quality, insightful pieces on our owned channels that resonate with our target audience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in editorial management, content marketing, journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful thought leadership content strategies.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with senior executives and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Topic development: Generate innovative and engaging topic ideas aligned with our thought leadership themes and campaign objectives.
  • Content strategy: Strategically contribute to the overall content strategy, ensuring alignment with broader marketing and communications goals.
  • Oversee the end-to-end content creation process, from ideation and outlining to writing, editing, and production. This includes managing relationships with external agencies and freelancers.
  • Author management: Identify, recruit, and manage internal and external authors and subject matter experts (including Workday executives and industry experts) for various content formats (e.g., articles, blog posts, podcasts).
  • Production, promotion, amplification: Oversee end-to-end content processes, collaborating with the production team, the social media team, and others to ensure timely and efficient delivery of content across various channels (e.g., website, internal channels, social media, email).
  • Performance analysis: Regularly track and analyze content performance to identify trends, measure impact, and inform future content strategy.
