Operate one or two forming machines simultaneously under minimal supervision and mentor other machine operators. Adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, temperatures, material flow, and dimensions. Monitor machine operations, observe lights and gauges to detect malfunctions, and activate machinery via control buttons. Adjust machine functions such as air pressure, vacuum settings, and coolant flow. Synchronize machine speeds across multiple steps or processes. Execute advanced troubleshooting activities for thermoforming and related processes. Achieve standard daily output goals and enter utilization data into the plant PCM system. Load materials into machines, deliver finished goods, and build carton boxes as needed. Meet all production goals within established schedules. Provide advanced troubleshooting and assist Maintenance or Set-up Technicians when necessary. Mentor new operators and participate in on-board training (OBT); indirectly coordinate the work of assigned inspector-packers. Complete daily logs, condition sheets, checklists, locator cards, and cleaning/maintenance tasks. Immediately report processing or maintenance problems to the supervisor. Assist the Forming Supervisor with additional tasks and special projects. Follow company attendance policies and arrive on time consistently.
