About The Position

Shape What’s Next in Sustainable Packaging Join the Pactiv Evergreen team in Mooresville, NC and learn to run multiple thermoforming production lines that make cups, lids, and trays used across foodservice and retail. As a Thermoforming Line Technician, you’ll help us hit daily targets by keeping safety first, protecting quality, and driving productivity—every shift. A day in the life Start up, shut down, and perform basic troubleshooting on extruders, thermoformers, automation, and auxiliary systems. Complete color changes and job changeovers according to the schedule, ensuring all assigned equipment runs to standard. Keep the work cell clean, organized, and safe; wear required PPE and follow standard operating and safety procedures. Validate product quality (weight, diameter, color, clarity) and pack finished goods in the correct configuration. Document all required line paperwork accurately and on time; escalate issues per procedure and work with minimal supervision. Support TPM by completing assigned preventive maintenance tasks and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Meet or exceed line targets while collaborating with packers, Leads, Supervisors, Maintenance, and Quality. Stay focused on the job—cell phone use is not permitted during production unless the line is down or during break time. Pitch in to train or assist teammates as needed; one team, shared results. What you bring High school diploma preferred. Team-player mindset with the ability to work independently when needed; mature and consistent approach to conflict. Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Flexibility for overtime and off shifts as business requires. Ability to stand 12 hours and consistently wear required PPE. Reliable, on-time attendance to keep the team and the line running smoothly.
