About The Position

This position is for Pactiv Evergreen Inc., part of the Novolex family. On a 12-hour rotating schedule, you will be the go-to electromechanical expert supporting Shift Mechanics across our Thermoforming and Extrusion departments. From first energization checks to end-of-shift handoffs, you keep production running safely and reliably.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Industrial Electrician experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school credentials preferred.
  • Computer literacy with desktop applications and Maintenance Connection CMMS.
  • Proficiency using precision measurement devices and electrical testing instruments.
  • Organized, self-motivated problem solver with strong accountability; able to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; collaborates effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to act with limited instruction, apply best work practices, and understand work design.
  • Team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Independently diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues with minimal supervision on off-shifts.
  • Apply lock-out/tag-out and all established safety procedures every time.
  • Interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams to install, repair, and improve equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair 480V, 3-phase power systems; identify faults in PLC-controlled equipment and perform new equipment installations.
  • Inspect and test lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits; replace faulty switches, sockets, transformers, lighting fixtures, bulbs, and ballasts.
  • Use ammeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, test lamps, and meggers to isolate defects in wiring, motors, and components; verify circuits meet specifications and codes.
  • Disassemble, repair/replace parts, and maintain motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, and related machinery; clean, lubricate, and adjust as needed.
  • Ensure all work complies with OEM requirements and applicable safety codes; inspect completed repairs for quality.
  • Operate required equipment to perform the job safely and effectively; requisition parts and materials; maintain a clean, orderly workspace.
  • Communicate equipment status and issues to production supervisors, maintenance leads, acting supervisors, or maintenance supervisors.
  • Contribute to other related duties that support operational success.
