About The Position

The Therapy Services Specialist Sr. is responsible for working directly to support new and current specialist. Location: Virtual - This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, with the exception of required in-person training sessions, providing maximum flexibility and autonomy. This approach promotes productivity, supports work-life integration, and ensures essential face-to-face onboarding and skill development. How you will make an impact: Work with the lead case manager on state specific processes and policies and ensure that state specific standard operating procedures are up to date. May partner with leadership and assists in leading procedure and process updates. Performs telephonic and/or virtual assessments to identify participants needs on more complex cases. Support leads in overseeing recommendations to MCO for type and hours of supportive services required. Support process to conduct objective assessments for program participation to determine the appropriate level of support and services required. Support lead in the overseeing the assessments annually or more frequently as needed in accordance with applicable program requirements and participants needs. Assists with case consults. Mentor and provide shadowing opportunities during new hire orientation or on an ongoing basis. May serve as the back up to lead associates. Assists leads with CFER reviews.

Requirements

  • Requires graduate of a college level program in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or an accredited two-year program for a Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapist Assistant and minimum of 3+ years’ experience in social service or health care field; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Current active, valid and unrestricted license or certification as a physical therapist assistant or occupational therapist assistant in applicable state required.
  • Certification and/or licensure appropriate to field of specialty as required.
