  • Experience working with children/adolescents (ADHD/executive functioning experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort with structured processes, forms, and scoring procedures.
  • Excellent communication and professionalism with families, schools (as appropriate), and clinical teams.
  • Eligible and willing to become credentialed with insurance panels (if role includes billable therapy services).
  • Must be willing to practice under supervision and actively work toward full licensure in accordance with Michigan requirements (supervision provided/available as applicable).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience administering, scoring, or supporting psychological/neuropsychological testing (training provided if needed).
  • Familiarity with ADHD, learning differences, ASD traits, anxiety/mood concerns, and school systems (IEP/504).
  • Interest in developing long-term expertise in assessment-informed treatment planning.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and score psychological/neuropsychological and behavioral rating measures under the supervision of our PhD psychologist.
  • Prepare patients and families for the assessment process (set expectations, instructions, rapport-building).
  • Ensure accurate test setup, timing, scoring, documentation, and secure handling of testing materials.
  • Report generation summarizing background information, rating scales, test results, and clinical observations.
  • Coordinate testing workflow (scheduling blocks, gathering forms, ensuring measures are complete, communicating next steps).
  • Provide in-person (and occasional Telehealth as needed) individual and family counseling for children and adolescents, aligned with Focus Clinic’s strengths-based model.
  • Use evidence-based modalities (CBT, solution-focused, DBT-informed skills, parent guidance) with emphasis on practical skill-building for executive functioning and emotional regulation.
  • Support families with routines, organization systems, behavior plans, and school collaboration strategies (IEP/504 support in partnership with the team).
  • Collaborate with medical providers and clinic staff to coordinate care and support holistic outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation (AI-assisted where appropriate) aligned with insurance and clinical standards.
  • Participate in training, team meetings, and case consultation to ensure alignment with clinic goals and quality standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of clinic testing and counseling workflows.
