About The Position

The department of Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity for a full-time hybrid Therapist, Licensed . The Therapist, Licensed coordinates and provides individualized case management, group therapy, and bio-psychosocial assessment services, including group counseling and psychoeducation. The incumbent demonstrates expertise in the development of client resources, individual counseling, discharge and continuing care planning, and client placement.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in relevant field
  • Valid State of Florida Licensure or License Eligible in relevant field
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (including experience received while training)
  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Relates to and interacts well with patients to meet their age-specific physical and psychosocial needs.
  • Interviews and evaluates patients to determine need and develops treatment plans accordingly.
  • Works in conjunction with multidisciplinary service teams to ensure implementation of coordinated psychosocial services.
  • Prepares progress notes, reports, and correspondence for assigned patients, and maintains case records.
  • Conducts ongoing individual and group psychoeducation and counseling sessions with patients.
  • Completes psychosocial evaluations, diagnoses psychological disorders, prepares comprehensive clinical summaries, and makes recommendations for treatment.
  • Interprets psychological or psychiatric case information based on patient interviews and medical or psychiatric sources.
  • Completes and maintains all required client-related and programmatic documentation.
  • Performs routine data collection tasks for studies.
  • Serves as program liaison to collaborating service providers and treatment centers.
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
