About The Position

Overview: Professional counseling work in providing brief individual and group therapy and related indirect client services. Provides crisis intervention to promote stabilization and avert hospitalization. Maintains documentation regarding client progress in the client records.

Requirements

  • Masters degree with from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human services field.
  • Two years of professional experience in providing services to persons with psychiatric and behavioral illness.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license.
  • Maintain authorization as a designated driver in accordance with Agency policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional experience working with persons with Substance Abuse/Dependence and Axis II diagnoses preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual, group, marital and family therapy in accordance with established and acceptable clinical protocols. Provide Therapeutic Behavioral On-Site services (TBOS).
  • Provide brief therapeutic interventions up to 3 sessions per each individual at the assigned Tallahassee Resilience Hub site for the assigned hours (9am-1pm). Work with Mobile Response Team as necessary. Make appropriate referrals if the individual needs continued services (e.g., beyond the 3 sessions).
  • Maintains all required and appropriate documentation for clinical records and progress notes for assigned cases in accordance with Client Record Handbook specifications or Agency policies and procedures.
  • Meets service productivity standard of at least 62.5% (or 5 out of 8 work hours) for the provision of direct therapy services in accordance with applicable clinical/quality criteria which are supported by appropriate clinical record documentation which meet Clinical Record Handbook specifications, SAL documentation requirements, and Agency business/clinical ethics standards
