About The Position

JDT CONSULTANTS, INC. is a premier statewide Mental Health provider of (TBS) Therapeutic Behavioral Services and (HART) Home Alternative to Residential Treatment and is looking for qualified candidates for the TBS Coach and Family Specialist positions. Staff work independently in the field, serving youth ages 3 to 21, throughout Monterey County. Services are provided in the home, school, and community setting, often in the afternoon (after school), early evenings, and some weekends. College students are encouraged to apply, as the flexibility allows you to work around your academic schedule. Bilingual English and Spanish candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Provide direct, behavioral interventions to reduce youth high-risk behaviors that jeopardize home placement Coaches work independently, as services are provided in-person, in the client's home, school, or in the community PPE provided for staff, and for families, if needed Work closely with the treatment team and caregivers to implement interventions and document progress Regularly participate in treatment team meetings to review progress and discuss adjustments to services Timely completion of accurate Progress Notes to document services and other required reports

Requirements

  • Candidates must have one or more of the following minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in unrelated field and 1 year experience working with youth
  • 12 units in SW, Psych, Rehab Counseling, Education Counseling , or Marriage/Family Counseling
  • 6 units in SW, Psych, Rehab Counseling, Education Counseling , or Marriage/Family Counseling AND 1 year fulltime experience working with clients in a human service setting
  • Current or recent employment that required a background check, fingerprinting
  • Those working towards a Bachelor degree are encouraged to apply
  • Ability to provide culturally sensitive services to a diverse population
  • Adaptability to a flexible schedule based on client needs and availability
  • Maintain a valid California Driver License and provide proof of full-coverage auto insurance
  • Mandatory background check

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience working with youth or adults with severe behavioral issues is highly desired
