Job Description: Teach Theology to eager young minds. Instill in students a love for Theology and the Church. Open students’ hearts, minds, and souls to all that is good, beautiful, and true through the teaching of Theology. Use creative and varied pedagogical techniques to create a fun, ordered, and fruitful learning environment. Work collaboratively with the instructional leader and members of the Theology department to leverage best practices and build a passion for the Catholic Church. Work with the chaplain and the Campus Ministry team to integrate students’ intellectual formation with evangelization for the spiritual formation of the students, staff and families. Promote Bishop Boyea’s pastoral letter, “Go and Announce the Gospel of the Lord.” Periodically plan and lead inspiring pilgrimages and participate in other co-curricular activities. Serve as a faculty mentor to one of FGR’s House Groups. Be ready to support the mission of the school with other duties as assigned. And naturally, prepare lesson plans; take attendance; give assignments and tests; grade student participation and performance; discipline students; and meet with students and parents as needed to discuss any issues.
