About The Position

As a Theatrical Operations Specialist for the theatrical team, you will lead collaboration with stakeholders to define goals, establish schedules, and monitor progress. You will take meaningful ownership of the delivery logistics of Angel Studios' theatrical DCP (Digital Cinema Package) content — managing the full pipeline from request through fulfillment. In close collaboration with partner teams, you will also contribute to upholding the highest cinema-ready QC standards for final deliverables. Beyond day-to-day execution, you will actively contribute to building and refining the systems and processes that keep Theatrical Operations running efficiently and at scale. Your attention to detail, proactive communication, and ability to identify and address workflow gaps will play a vital role in the quality and success of each release. You will also resolve issues proactively and provide critical updates to internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • An exceptional listener with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Detail-oriented perspective and able to pick up on overlooked details, especially in the digital media space (audio, video & photo assets, etc.)

  • Must be able to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years in a logistics, media operations, or project management role

Nice To Haves

  • A robust understanding of media formats is a plus. Familiarity with digital cinema formats and workflows (DCP, KDM, etc.) is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field
  • Previous video editing experience preferred
  • Experience managing high-quality photography and video assets
  • Experience with Media Asset Management systems
  • Experience with project management systems such as MONDAY.COM, NOTION
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Experience with managing contracts/license agreements between business entities

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the full digital cinema content logistics pipeline exercising judgement on priorities and deliverables— from processing incoming requests and tracking content, to shipping and confirming readiness at the theater.
  • Highly detail-oriented.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Support content deliveries to international partners when needed.
  • Gather and organize critical details for film screenings and fulfill content deliveries with Theatrical and Media Ops teams.
  • When needed, work with 3rd parties to execute single-use license agreements for special screening events.
  • Communicate bottlenecks and delays in deliverables.
  • Lead QC efforts of the final brand and theatrical deliverables, online and in-theater screenings.
  • Partner with the in-theater marketing team to own the accuracy of public theatrical brand assets.
  • Learn the existing processes and tools used by Theatrical Operations and Sales teams and identify opportunities to cut waste, gain greater efficiency, and scale the operation.
  • Proactively identify workflow gaps and contribute to building scalable systems and processes that improve efficiency across Theatrical Operations.
  • Assign and manage projects with the creative team inside Angel Studios and with outside vendors.
  • Oversee project requirements and manage project timeline.
  • Track budgets based on each project.
  • Align with leadership on priorities and drive the best strategies to achieve them.
  • Regularly update project statuses.
  • Track project deliverables and agreed deadlines.
  • QC final deliverables for proper spelling and grammar.
  • Must attend and contribute to regularly scheduled staff meetings.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in the English language required. Additional language proficiency is a plus.
