About The Position

Support the MSJ Theatre, Recital Hall, and Scenic Shop through event assistance, maintenance of equipment and facilities, theatre production assistance, and general tasks that promote programs and initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled student as Mount St. Joseph University.
• Must be able to lift 35lbs safely and comfortably.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

• Organized, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Experience using drills and/or other power tools.

Responsibilities

• Event Assistance Help setup/tear down for events in the Theatre and/or Recital Hall.
• Help run events, or if capable, run some events alone.
• Equipment and Facilities Maintenance Complete various maintenance projects to help keep the Theatre, Recital Hall, and Scenic Shop in running condition.
• This includes, but is not limited to: Organizing equipment Cleaning equipment Building/planning better storage solutions Streamlining equipment setup with direction of technical director
• Theatre Production Assistance Assist with technical projects related to the theatre productions.
• This can include: props, set, lighting, sound, or costumes, depending on needs.
