About The Position

The Commons Event host is tasked with connecting with and serving the Event Coordinator of outside organizations while at The Commons, representing The Commons while acting as the hands and feet of Jesus, so that our community feels “known and loved”.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing outside organizations at The Commons
• Managing the day of details at The Commons for outside organizations hosting their event in our building with assertiveness, grace, and confidence.
• Brewing, setting up, stocking, and cleaning up beverage service for events
• Promptly responding to all requests from the visiting organizer
• Documenting community event details for accurate billing and to enhance replication for future events.
• To know, understand, and enforce our policies and procedures with outside organizations
• To correctly label and bag all linens and linen hangers after an event
• To manage garbage collection and disposal during the event
• To remind caterers of our expectations of them while in our building
