About The Position

The University of Virginia’s College at Wise is accepting applications for a Textbook/Retail Associate. Retail Operations employees perform a wide variety of duties in University retail stores. Responsibilities include textbook management, merchandising, managing inventory, ordering products, assisting customers, and operating cash registers. Work is assigned at the task level, and they work under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Management of the textbook program, including working with faculty to obtain textbook orders.
• Greet and offer assistance to customers.
• Recognize levels of stock on sales floor and replenish accordingly.
• Continually fix and neaten sales floor area and replace tags as directed.
• Respond to customer inquiries on the sales floor and on the telephone.
• Receive designated purchase orders and daily transfers.
• Keep stockroom clean, safe, and well organized.
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
