About The Position

This position performs test plan development, design and execution, ensuring systems and applications function to meet user needs. This involves both manual and automated testing strategies for custom and purchased applications including functional testing, integration testing, system testing, load testing, user-acceptance testing, regression testing, and accessibility testing. This position creates and reviews test cases to validate business and system requirements. In addition to executing test cases, this position supports execution of test cases by end-users, including subject matter experts (SMEs). This position will help coordinate the work of other IT staff and business people to create and execute test plans to help ensure quality and completeness of ETF systems. Works collaboratively with both technical and business project team members to resolve issues and ensure that projects are on schedule, which may include creating test metrics and reporting. This position will support testing of web applications, mainframe applications, reports and data, and APIs. This position is expected to create, promote, make full use of and follow all applicable ETF and state standards, policies and best practices. This includes but is not limited to change management, problem tracking, SDLC, reports/forms/correspondence standards, business requirements elicitation, and project management. This position should work well both as a member of development teams under the direction of a project manager and/or scrum master and as an independent member of the test team under the QA Team Lead. Knowledge of health and pension benefit administration programs is highly desired.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of advanced application test methodologies, tools, and procedures. (4+ years)
  • Knowledge and experience with issue tracking software use and support eg Jira. (4+ years)
  • Knowledge and experience with test management software eg Zephyr (4+ years)
  • Experience with Agile processes

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of health and pension benefit administration programs is highly desired.
