Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with proven knowledge in AML/BSA/USA PATRIOT Act compliance (KYC, EDD, PEP, sanctions) and global standards.
  • 2–5 years of experience in compliance testing/monitoring, financial crimes compliance, internal audit, or risk management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; capable of connecting regulatory risk context to detailed testing. Able to review large volumes of data and documentation to assess control efficiency and compliance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of AML customer risk assessment/risk ranking and its impact on AML operational processes.
  • Experience working collaboratively with business partners and collaborators across AML processes and controls.
  • Familiarity with GRC tools and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau/Power BI).
  • Great teammate with proven collaboration skills and a positive, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Implement risk-focused testing and continuous oversight of AML/BSA and associated compliance processes. These include Know Your Customer (KYC), Improved Due Diligence (IDD), Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), Sanctions screening, and Transaction Monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, sampling strategies, control matrices, and work papers aligned with laws, regulations, internal policies, and international AML/CFT standards (e.g., FATF, CSSF).
  • Perform walkthroughs and evaluate control build and operating efficiency; identify control gaps, root causes, and determine remediation actions.
  • Review substantial data volumes and accompanying documentation to assess control operation and alignment with policy and procedure.
  • Draft clear, evidence-based observations, recommendations, and reports for management; contribute to policies, procedures, and methodology documentation.
  • Track remediation plans, validate corrective actions, and monitor timely closure; bring up delays or repeat findings as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners to coordinate reviews, share insights, and improve the control environment.
  • Support regulatory examinations and internal audits by preparing documentation and responding to information requests.
  • Maintain current knowledge of AML/BSA/USA PATRIOT Act, sanctions, and industry mentorship; translate requirements into practical control expectations and testing procedures.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements of the CTM program, including automation and data-driven monitoring.
