About The Position

CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Testing Lead within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The Testing Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the testing activities within a project or organization. This includes creating test plans, managing test cases, and ensuring the quality of software products. They lead a team of testers, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software. CGI Federal is growing its high-performance team whose members share a passion for building high-quality, scalable, advanced IT solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced, outcome-driven mission. This position is located in Arlington, VA; however a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Requirements

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 10+ years of experience
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with test automation and performance testing.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans for projects, defining the scope, objectives, and approach for testing efforts.
  • Test Execution: Oversee the execution of test cases, ensuring they are carried out efficiently and effectively, and analyze test results to identify defects.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of testers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Defect Management: Identify, track, and manage defects, working with developers to ensure timely resolution and verification of fixes.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that software products meet quality standards and project requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate testing progress, status, and issues to stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and clients.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure a seamless testing process.
  • Resource Management: Manage testing resources, including personnel, tools, and environments, to ensure efficient testing execution.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with testing and develop mitigation plans to minimize their impact.
