About The Position

The Test Technician is responsible for performing technical tests, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring products or systems meet quality and performance standards. This role involves working closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to identify defects, document results, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and diagnostic procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
• Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or other test tools.
• Solid troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficient in documenting results and communicating with engineering teams.
• Basic understanding of safety protocols and quality systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with automated test equipment (ATE).
• Familiarity with software testing environments or scripting (Python, LabVIEW, etc.).
• Background in manufacturing, electronics, or technical R&D labs.
• Certifications such as IPC, CompTIA, or industry‑specific credentials.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, performance, and reliability tests on products, components, or systems.
• Interpret test procedures, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Install, configure, and operate test equipment, tools, and instrumentation.
• Document test results accurately and maintain detailed records for quality and engineering reviews.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose failures, identifying root causes when possible.
• Support engineers during prototype builds, validation, and verification phases.
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment according to standards.
• Follow safety guidelines and quality controls in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Recommend improvements to test processes, fixtures, or documentation.
