About The Position

The Test Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of electronic products by performing detailed testing and inspection of circuit boards and related components. This position involves working closely with engineering and production teams to identify defects, verify functionality, and validate product performance against specifications. The Test Technician is responsible for setting up, calibrating, and operating various test equipment and fixtures to conduct thorough evaluations. Attention to detail and precision in soldering and handling surface mount technology are essential to maintain product integrity. Ultimately, this role contributes to delivering high-quality electronics that meet customer and industry standards within the United States market.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with technical training in electronics or related field.
  • Proven experience in soldering and working with circuit boards, including surface mount technology.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and test fixtures.
  • Basic understanding of electronic components and circuit functionality.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and test procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or certification in electronics technology or a related discipline.
  • Experience with calibration procedures and maintaining test equipment.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and documentation practices.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing or electronics testing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of electronic circuit boards using oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other test equipment.
  • Set up and calibrate test fixtures and equipment to ensure accurate and repeatable test results.
  • Conduct soldering and de-soldering of components, including surface mount devices, to repair or modify circuit boards as needed.
  • Document test procedures, results, and any anomalies encountered during testing for engineering review and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve test processes and support product development and manufacturing.
