We’re looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded Function Test Technician to support our Function Team Lead. Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD), headquartered in Simsbury, CT with facilities in Moorpark, CA, and Graham, KY is a global leader of mission-critical hardware and systems solutions including precision energetics systems and innovative explosive solutions. Our capabilities include customized man-portable breaching systems; fully integrated payload system, subsystem or energetic component production; shock tube-based, signal transmission technology integrated with our highly reliable family of detonators; and armored vehicle solutions. EBAD also has extensive satellite/spacecraft and missile/aircraft/launch vehicle manufacturing capabilities for system initiation, signal transfer, separation release, actuation and deployment and flight termination. Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Ability to work independently and interface with individuals at multiple levels in the organization
• A Safety mindset with attention to detail
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to interpret and execute test requirements provided in written specifications
• Experience working in a test lab environment with exposure to a number of the following areas: Instrumentation, Oscilloscopes, Charge Amplifiers & Signal Conditioners, EBW/HBW Firesets, High Speed Cameras, Watlow Controlled Environmental Chambers

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Knowledge of explosive materials and/or ordnance devices
• Experience working in an aerospace industry
• Microsoft Word and Excel Proficiency
• Troubleshooting Skills

Responsibilities

• evaluation of set-up and performance for Tensile, Drop, Electrical and Function testing
• Testing will be performed in accordance with written procedures, MIL-STD’s and industry specifications
• Test data will be generated to support customer requirements
