Requirements

  • Ability to use VNA, PNA, Oscilloscope, DVM, spectrum analyzer, and other test equipment
  • Proficient computer skills

  • Good eye/hand coordination
  • Typically requires A.A. degree in appropriate technology or equivalent technical training, or the combination of training and related experience of 3-5 years.
  • Knowledge of basic fundamentals in assigned area and ability to use common equipment and instruments
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to use microscope for extended periods of time
  • This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a “U.S. Person” as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Responsibilities

  • Performs various electronic and technical assignments such as tuning, troubleshooting, adjusting, testing tubes, microwave products, devices, and systems; works from schematics, engineering drawings, written and verbal instructions.
  • Operates related electronic and mechanical equipment necessary to tune, test and troubleshoot specific product or equipment.
  • Uses pre-determined methods, sequences, and set-ups to visually test specific equipment or product making necessary modifications and adjustments as necessary.
  • Recommends changes or modifications to improve general operation or the quality of equipment or product making necessary modifications and adjustments as needed.
  • Conducts a variety of engineering or productions tests and reports data in prescribed format.
  • Performs moderate analysis of rejected, returned, and in-process microwave tubes in support of engineering and manufacturing as required.
  • Provides technical assistance as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as needed and assigned.
