About The Position

Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician II who can apply engineering problem solving skills to evaluate wireless devices for global Regulatory compliance involving EMC/RF for wireless consumer technologies in a fast-paced environment and industry. Performs testing of the latest cellular (4G/5G) and unlicensed (WIFI/BT/etc.) technologies to determine FCC (US) and ISED (Canada), and other global regulatory body compliance. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in any related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree or commensurate with experience
  • Must be customer-focused, organized, good communication skills, fast learner, team player, and detail-oriented
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and computer literate
  • Ability to work effectively in team situations as well as independently
  • Must have the motivation, initiative and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically

Nice To Haves

  • Wireless/EMC/RF/Laboratory environment experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs and analyze EMC/RF testing and evaluations per regulatory specifications
  • Compiling and reporting test results using MS Word, MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Evaluate devices and determine applicable standards
  • Work in a team environment and assist in development and improvement of test methodologies, reporting, coordination of various tasks, etc
  • Maintain laboratory test methods and test equipment
