The Test Technician II is responsible for establishing prototype designs and setting up tests, including testing company product designs to provide engineering with accurate information on product quality and performance. This role also involves offering insights to business units based on past testing experience and recommending additional tests.

Requirements

  • High school or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 Year / Associate Degree or equivalent years of job experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble prototype units to print specifications from internal customers and fabricate parts as necessary, while aiding other test techs.
  • Prepare set up for testing of units.
  • Perform testing in 2-3 key areas of air, sound, vibration, balance, motor, high temp and/or structural.
  • Document test results to provide to internal customers and external third-party agencies (i.e., AMCA / UL).
  • Assist BU's in the evaluation of their test information to determine additional tests needed on the unit.
  • Provide test data to internal and external customers in paper or electronic format.
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on test stands and assist with the calibration of test stands.
  • Follow established timelines for project completion.
  • Communicate with internal customers regarding testing schedule as needed.
  • Follow testing schedule while understanding and able to communicate reason for prioritization.
  • Maintain positive relationships with business units.
