About The Position

General Statement of Duties: The test proctor is expected to provide support to the instructor during the administrations of any computer and paper based exams.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, Internet)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Adhere to security and confidentiality policies and procedures
Ability to interact effectively and courteously with test takers, faculty, and other staff

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree
Bilingual (English-Spanish)
Experience working with adult learner population.

Responsibilities

Check students in for testing
Check testers' identification prior to administering each test
Ensure only authorized materials are at test station
Closely monitor the test session for disruptive behavior, cheating or testing irregularities
Maintain test environment per test guidelines and student's test accommodation paperwork from Disability Services
Arrange testers in test room to ensure proper test environment based upon test guidelines and test accommodations
Inform all examinees that they must refrain from using their personal cell phones or other unauthorized devices during testing
Direct test takers to their specific seats
Distribute and collect test materials to and from each test taker individually
Review the room frequently to guard against improper conduct and to ensure that every test taker has sufficient materials to continue testing (scrap paper, etc.); that no test materials are removed or concealed (e.g., writing on the calculator) upon exit of test room.
