About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Data & BI Functional Testing Lead to serve as a pivotal technical leader in our San Jose office. With 12 to 20 years of experience, you will act as the primary bridge between our customers and offshore delivery teams, ensuring seamless communication, requirement clarity, and high-quality delivery. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for translating complex business needs into robust functional testing strategies. You will not only lead the testing effort across Snowflake and Power BI but also take ownership of infrastructure and IT support tasks to ensure environment stability for the global team.

Requirements

• Experience: 12–20 years in Data Quality, BI Testing, or Data Engineering, with a strong background in customer-facing lead roles.
• Snowflake Mastery: Deep proficiency in Snowflake SQL and PL/SQL, including a strong understanding of performance tuning and query optimization.
• Power BI Expertise: Expert knowledge of Power Query (M) and DAX. Ability to audit complex reports for both functional accuracy and user experience.
• Automation & Tooling: Hands-on experience with BI Validator (or similar suites) for automated data and UI validation.
• Programming: Strong Python skills for automation, requirement analysis, and infrastructure scripting.
• Integration Specialist: Proven track record of validating data across hybrid environments (Cloud & On-Prem) and major SaaS platforms.
• Requirement Engineering: Exceptional ability to distill vague customer requests into clear, actionable technical requirements for offshore teams.
• Onsite-Offshore Coordination: Extensive experience managing the dynamics of a global delivery model, ensuring 24/7 alignment.
• Technical Support: A "hands-on" mindset capable of navigating IT support tickets and infrastructure configurations to unblock development.
• Communication: Masterful stakeholder management and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Customer & Offshore Liaison: Act as the key point of contact for the customer. Gather, clarify, and document business requirements, ensuring the offshore team has the context needed for precise execution.
• Strategic Test Planning: Architect and own the end-to-end Functional Test Plan, defining the scope, test suites, and quality benchmarks for the entire Data Analytics ecosystem.
• Functional Validation Leadership: Lead the validation of complex business logic, data transformations in Snowflake, and the fidelity of Power BI visualizations.
• Infrastructure & IT Support: Provide hands-on support for infrastructure-related tasks, including environment setup, access management, and troubleshooting IT bottlenecks to maintain team velocity.
• Technical Governance: Oversee the validation of RBAC Security, Data Masking, and Data Governance policies to ensure all solutions meet strict regulatory and compliance standards.
• Integration Oversight: Manage the functional testing of data flows between Snowflake/Power BI and enterprise platforms (Salesforce, ServiceNow, Jira, Workday, SAP, etc.).
• Performance & Scalability: Ensure the suite is resilient through comprehensive performance and stress testing, identifying bottlenecks in SQL or DAX models.
