About The Position

As a Test Kitchen Associate, you will be a key member of the Systems and Test team, operating our robotics systems and keeping our test kitchen organized and presentable for demonstrations. You will learn to operate the systems exactly the way a restaurant employee does, and you will be directly responsible for operating our kitchen robots, loading them with food when needed, and maintaining the systems clean.
This is a part-time position with an expected 20 hours per week.

Requirements

• 1+ year of fast-food restaurant kitchen experience
• Familiarity with touchscreen user interfaces (e.g., smartphones, tablets)
• Experience in a customer-facing role
• Willingness to learn and train on the job
• Attention to detail
• Eye for cleanliness
• Ability to work well in small teams, and with people with different skill sets than your own
• No previous robotics experience necessary
• Must be able to work in person at our test kitchen in Pasadena, CA
• Ability to lift 25lbs

Responsibilities

• Set up and run the kitchen robots just like at a restaurant for cooking tests
• Clean up the system and test kitchen area after the cooking tests
• Explain to visitors how the system is operated
• Provide feedback to the engineering team regarding the usability of the systems
• Assist the engineering teams with project builds if needed
• Manage the cleanliness of the testing lab space, as well as keeping it stocked with needed testing supplies
• Communicate and coordinate cleanup with the cleaning crew
