About The Position

As a Test Integration Engineer, you will lead the electrical integration, validation, and troubleshooting of rotating permanent magnet machines (PMMs) and associated power electronics. You will own test readiness from initial requirements through test execution, including planning, building, and instrumenting test setups; integrating drives/inverters and control systems; executing detailed test plans; analyzing test data; and driving technical issues to closure. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on lab work and cross-functional collaboration with design, controls, and manufacturing teams in a fast-paced development environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing, testing, and/or engineering)
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced in electrical test, systems integration, or validation of rotating electrical machines or power electronics.
  • Hands-on experience with PMMs or AC machines.
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, current/voltage probes, DAQ systems.
  • Working knowledge of inverters/drives and motor control fundamentals, resolver/encoder interfaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and create schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Translate product and regulatory requirements into detailed electrical test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria for PMMs and associated subsystems.
  • Define instrumentation, DAQ, and power distribution needs; develop test schematics, wiring diagrams, and interconnects.
  • Integrate PMMs with inverters/drives, controllers, sensors, and protection devices.
  • Develop and commission test rigs including load machines/dynamometers, power supplies, cooling systems, and EMS/grounding.
  • Implement motor control interfaces.
  • Execute electrical performance tests: efficiency mapping, torque-speed curves, thermal characterization, insulation testing, transient/surge and overspeed where applicable.
  • Configure and operate DAQ systems; ensure signal integrity, calibration, and time alignment of high-speed signals.
  • Analyze test results to verify requirements.
  • Document results with traceable reports, plots, and data packs; present findings; maintain configuration control of test artifacts.
