About The Position

The Test Event Network Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. Location: Schriever, SFB, Colorado Springs, CO Relocation Assistance: NONE Position Closes: 4/26/26 Resumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position. The candidate will: Partner with the support team, the network engineer is heavily involved with identifying, prioritizing, and resolving critical network related issues that impact business operations. Proactively seeks to communicate solutions to network related issues and preferred emerging technologies that can be used to improve the overall health of the company network. Assist in design, configuration, installation, test and troubleshooting of IT network systems primarily consisting of Cisco and PaloAlto based LAN/WANs. Use technical writing and verbal communication skills in a fast-paced environment with minimal or no supervision. Coordinate work with internal/external elements to provide/suggest technical solutions for network environments and document any updates or changes to the network. Travel to remote locations with an exercise team and provide on-site technical setup and support for the duration of the event. Be able to work with little to no supervision. Have strong written and verbal skills. Be able to document network changes and draft technical diagrams.

Requirements

  • Must have 6, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience, which may be reduced with completion of advanced education
  • Must have 3, or more, years of directly related experience
  • Must have experience with configuring, installing, testing, or troubleshooting of IT network systems primarily consisting of Cisco and PaloAlto based LAN/WANs.
  • Must have, and maintain, a current CompTIA Security+ certification or CCNA Security certification.
  • Must be able to travel 25-35% of the time to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Must have a current Passport
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Be able to work with little to no supervision.
  • Have strong written and verbal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Have a Network+ certification, CCNA certification, and/or JNCIA certification.
  • Be familiar with Cisco routers/switches/firewalls/IPS, Internal/External routing protocols, TCP and UDP, Multicast environments, Cisco Call Manager and VMware.
  • Have experience working with BMDS or multi component exercises.
