Our team in Military Aircraft Group has an immediate opening for a Test Equipment Sustainment Information Technology Specialist to join them. You will report to our Site Test Equipment Sustainment Manager. You will have a 9/80 option (you get with every other Friday off) and work on-site at our aerospace manufacturing plant in Torrance, California. As the Sustainment Information Technology Specialist, you will: Demonstrate a sense of urgency while you diagnose and resolve routine and complex IT issues, provide technical assistance and support to end-users through written and verbal communication. Provide timely updates of status on ongoing challenges and provide concise reports of completed work to create and maintain a historical record for each installation. Troubleshoot end-user PC, test equipment connectivity and application issues. Support deployment of PC equipment and accessories, including Installation and support of endpoint software. Attend in-person meetings, appointments with end users to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware problems. Document findings and communicate issues to Engineers in our team and others. Work with remote based software subject matter experts to deploy and maintain custom software updates. Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of IT issues, with the ability to find the root cause of the issue. Create and maintain local user accounts in different types of Windows operating systems. Create documentation with instructions or procedures for end users. Communicate with end users of a wide range of computer knowledge. Think outside the box for troubleshooting of issues, sometimes never seen before. Install, troubleshoot and understand a wide range of expansion cards including legacy standards such as PCI & ISA. Identify cables and communication ports, such as RS-232 or FireWire 1394 for troubleshooting. Work in a team environment but take ownership of issues where no point of escalation is available. May be required to support after-hours or weekends in the event of any emergency, critical troubleshooting, system maintenance or other issues as requested. Some travel may be needed to support remotely based test equipment.
