Position Summary As a Test Engineer at Samsung, you will be responsible for implementing testing solutions for Multi Product Wafer (MPW) Test Vehicles for Samsung's latest process technology. You will play an instrumental role in standing up the new fabrication plant and evaluating our advanced 2nm technology, helping establish Taylor site as a cornerstone of future growth. Role and Responsibilities Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For: Drive Innovation in Test Engineering - This role is for a highly experienced Test Engineer with a proven track record in high-volume production testing on the Advantest V93000 EXA Scale platform. The primary focus of this position is to provide technical execution in developing robust, scalable, and optimized test infrastructure and thorough electrical evaluation of new test vehicles. ATE hardware Design for NPI / Test Vehicle Success - You will design Automated Test Equipment (ATE) hardware, including probe cards and interface boards to support New Product / Technology Introduction and accelerate time to market for our end customers.

Requirements

  • B.S / M.S in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience & 10+ years of Test Engineering Experience with Advantest V93K / V93K EXA Scale
  • V93K Platform Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in V93K hardware and software, including digital, analog, mixed-signal, and high-speed serial instruments. Deep understanding of SmarTest features, test methods, and V93K operating system.
  • Test Infrastructure Development: Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable test infrastructure (hardware and software) that supports high-volume manufacturing (HVM). This includes developing common test libraries, automation frameworks, data logging solutions (STDF), and supporting scripts (Python/C++/VBA) for rapid test program development and debug
  • Test Vehicle Evaluation & Debug: Extensive experience with the electrical characterization and validation of complex test vehicles (e.g., first silicon debug of logic and sram).
  • Design and Optimization: Strong knowledge of Design for Test (DFT) methodologies (Scan, JTAG, BIST) and their implementation on the V93K. Proven ability to optimize test programs for cost, yield, and test time reduction (Multi-site testing, parallel test techniques).
  • Hardware Development: Experience with ATE interface hardware design (Load Boards, Probe Cards), including schematic review, layout guidance, and correlation/validation with production testers.
  • Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to serve as a technical lead, mentor junior engineers, and drive cross-functional alignment between Design, Product, Test, and Manufacturing teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
