Job Description EBAD seeks a capable individual for the position of Test Engineer, reporting to the Test Engineering Lead. The Test Engineer leads the effort for environmental and functional testing of EBAD products, test lab capabilities/growth and technical problem solving. Responsibilities include: Requirements evaluation, translating requirement into test program scope, and test program scheduling. Equipment / Instrumentation selection, verification and validation. Data Analysis, data report creation. Test method(s) development and Prove-out and training of technical staff. Continuous Improvement; testing methods, Test processes, Documentation Stewardship Troubleshooting as needed. Fixture/Tool Design, procurement, through verification and validation Perform and lead Test Readiness Reviews

Requirements

  • The candidate shall have a minimum of a BS degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering preferred) and applicable experience.
  • Non-degreed candidates will be considered if they have a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in a test engineering environment.
  • Candidates shall have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to interface with individuals at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Ability to generate and lead Test Readiness Reviews. (TRRs)
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of explosive materials and/or ordnance devices is beneficial.
  • SolidWorks modeling.
  • Electronics and instrumentation knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience working in an aerospace industry is preferred.
  • Climatic Testing: Thermal cycling and thermal shock Temperature / Humidity Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) / Altitude
  • Dynamic Testing: Random and Sine Vibration Classical and SRS Shock Acceleration Tensile/compression
  • Electrical testing: Basic electrical knowledge Current/Voltage/Resistance measurements Dialectric breakdown
  • Instrumentation: Pressure Transducers Accelerometers Oscilloscopes Data Acquisition Systems (DAQs): Charge Amplifiers & Signal Conditioners Constant Current Supplies Digital and Analog Filters Various meters (multi-meters, milliohm-meters, HR meters) Hi-Pot testers Thermocouples and Humidity Probes Pulse generators Load cells/Strain gages
