As a Test Engineer, you’ll lead the development and implementation of test strategies for new and existing products, supporting their journey from design through production and sustainment. You’ll collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure products meet rigorous standards and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Systems Engineering—or equivalent practical experience
  • 5–7+ years of engineering experience in a test, product, or manufacturing environment
  • Strong skills in test design, including traceability to requirements and pass/fail criteria
  • Proficiency in test automation using languages such as C#, C++, LabVIEW, or Python
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, DAQ systems, environmental chambers)
  • Solid analytical and debugging skills using statistical methods (DOE, Pareto, 5-Whys, fishbone diagrams)
  • Familiarity with configuration management and issue tracking tools (e.g. Git, Jira)
  • Basic data analysis skills using SQL and Excel
  • Knowledge of lab safety practices and quality standards

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mechatronics, robotics, or mechanical interface testing
  • Background in product lifecycle support from development through sustainment

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute test plans, procedures, and protocols for new and legacy products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and ensure alignment
  • Develop automated and manual test setups, fixtures, and scripts
  • Analyze test data, identify root causes of failures, and recommend design or process improvements
  • Document test procedures, results, and findings in clear, actionable reports
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and customer requirements
  • Support continuous improvement of test processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Troubleshoot issues during development, pilot builds, and production ramp-up
  • Provide feedback to design and engineering teams to enhance testability and product robustness
  • Contribute to key operational metrics including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity
