Overview Electric Boat is continuing to execute a construction and test programs for the COLUMBIA Class at multiple locations. This include the Groton and Quonset Point Electric Boat shipyards, the Integrated Power Systems (IPS) Compatibility Test Facility (CTF) in Philadelphia, PA, as well as various focus factory locations. The COLUMBIA Class motor modules will be tested at the IPS CTF. Per the current plan of record, the SSBN 828 and following ship motor modules will be constructed, outfitted, and tested at the Rhoads focus factory in Philadelphia, PA. Electric Boat personnel will support these efforts on-site. The IPS CTF will also continue to execute testing on prototypic equipment to include design updates and other electric plant testing. Key Tasks Review and approval of design deliverables received from the Government and sub vendors which document the capabilities of existing facilities where COLUMBIA Class motor modules will be constructed, outfitted, and tested Support Electric Boat development of design deliverables from every technical discipline (e.g. structural, mechanical, electrical) for modification of the COLUMBIA Class design to facilitate construction and test evolutions within the Electric Boat shipyard, at Government test facilities, and at focus factory locations. Management of commercial vendors finalizing the design of test facilities at Government shipyards and test facilities where portions of the COLUMBIA Class submarine will be built or tested Review and approval of technical deliverables Construction support and technical problem resolution of emergent issues during the outfitting of the IPS CTF in preparation for testing of COLUMBIA Class submarine equipment Development of system designs for COLUMBIA Class IPS equipment integration Development of formal correspondence Sub vendor contract and performance management Interface with external and internal customers to ensure program documents meet the intent of installations and testing Support analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues discovered during module outfitting, installation, removal, and during the test programs Travel (including airline travel) will be constant and required Possible future relocation may be investigated based on outfitting and testing needs
