About The Position

This is a summer internship for a Test Engineer Intern in the new product development team at Renesas, located in Research Triangle Park, NC, with the work being 100% onsite in Morrisville, NC. The internship runs from June 22 to August 14, 2026. Candidates must be currently enrolled full-time in a BS or MS engineering program and must not have graduated before September 2026. Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited University
  • 3rd year student or higher
  • C++ course experience
  • Basic understanding of analog integrated circuits
  • Currently enrolled, full-time in a BS or MS program
  • Must not have graduated before September 2026

Responsibilities

  • Operate automatic test equipment and make edits to existing test software
  • Use schematic capture tools to edit test hardware schematics
  • Work with Test Engineers to collect and analyze characterization data for new products
  • Use statistical analysis tools to analyze characterization data collected on new products
  • Work with Test Engineers to debug test hardware and software
  • Develop measurements/tests using state of the art IC test equipment
