Relative Dynamics Inc. is seeking to hire a Test Engineer 1, to support laser and electro-optical development for a commercial space customer. The position is located in Glen Burnie, Maryland. What You'll Get to Do: Perform space-flight qualification testing of lasers and electro-optic devices. Design, model, and analyze optical devices and assemblies for use on a space-flight mission. Develop and support the execution of procedures, work instructions, and process flows. Support environmental test campaigns. Work in a team environment and report to customer lead for technical support, task assignment, and processes. Perform other tasks as assigned. What You'll Need: Requirements: M.S. Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering 5+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in laser and electro-optic device testing and metrology Experience preforming space-flight qualification testing of lasers and electro-optic devices Hands-on experience with fiber optics including handling and cleaning procedures Experience with optical design, modeling, and analysis. TracePro experience preferred Experience writing and executing laser and electro-optic test plans and procedures Experience performing environmental test campaigns including radiation, vibration, and thermal vacuum testing. Routine travel to Houston, TX and other vendor sites is required. Requirements

  • M.S. Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering
  • 5+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in laser and electro-optic device testing and metrology
  • Experience preforming space-flight qualification testing of lasers and electro-optic devices
